Stonework

Stonework creates connections to different spaces in your yard. Coming from a family of masons, it’s no surprise that owner Jared Andrews is also skilled in the art of stonework. Timing, weather, and precision all play a part in creating features that will last for generations; but the creativity comes from Jared. He cuts each stone to fit together seamlessly for a look that’s natural and timeless. Jared’s talent, eye for detail, and locally-sourced stone can create level surfaces that are easy to walk on, intricate vertical installations, and stairs.

Good Hart Stairway Transformation

Transforming a 50-year old set of steps was no easy task. We preserved the original creator’s attention to lines and angles and replaced the railroad ties and aggregate with raw timbers and concrete. We added additional retaining features and stretched the stairs out for a more uniform walkway.

Birchwood Flagstone Walkway and Patio

We created a welcoming walkway and patio at a home in Birchwood. This unique color, called “Select” brings out both warm and cool colors in your yard.

Birchwood Stepping Stones

A stepping stone path lends a magical air to any home. Where does the path lead? Spaces between stones can be filled with mulch or peastone.

Burt Lake Flagstone Path

A flagstone path is both beautiful and durable. We kept the natural edges of the stone on this walkway to blend in with the rustic setting.

Good Hart Flagstone Patio

This set of flagstone patios looks like it was made for this house. It’s the perfect foundation for taking in lake views outside.

Good Hart Concrete Patio

A concrete patio is a blank slate ready for your grill, patio set, and ultimately is a great surface to entertain on.

Harbor Springs Flagstone Patio

This flagstone patio has room for it all–dinner outside and some time in the hot tub! It makes it easy to enjoy time outside.

Nook Flagstone Patio

Two bare corners flanking a house became a couple of matching nook-sized flagstone patios.

Make an Entrance

A beautiful home deserves a beautiful entrance. We used a combination of flagstone, drainstone, and fieldstone to create the perfect transition from the porch to the yard.

Outdoor Kitchen Area

We created a raised deck for an outdoor kitchen by laying flagstone over poured concrete. A custom stoop leads off the deck.

Curved Stairs

A set of two dilapidated flagstone stairs were improved with poured concrete. The curved shape matches the adjacent retaining wall.
